Privacy Policy
Effective November 7, 2026
This policy explains how Matter of Technology ("Matter of Technology," "we," "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit matteroftechnology.com, contact us, book an appointment, or receive text messages from us.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, book an appointment, call, email or text us, we collect what you provide, such as your name, company, email address, phone number, the number of people at your business, and the details of your request.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.
Client systems. If you become a client, information we access while managing your systems is governed by your service agreement, not this website policy.
How we use your information
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To schedule, confirm and remind you about appointments
- To provide, support and bill for our services
- To send service-related messages, such as ticket updates and appointment reminders
- To protect our website and business from fraud and abuse
- To meet legal and accounting obligations
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, such as our customer management, scheduling, email, phone and hosting providers, and only as needed for them to perform those services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
Text messaging and mobile information
If you agree to receive text messages from us, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you've agreed to, such as appointment reminders, support updates and replies to your requests. See our SMS Terms for details.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When it's no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption, multi-factor authentication and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect what you share with us.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing or calling us using the details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we'll honor those requests as required.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
